How to make dhokla by sanjeev kapoor recipe

Ingredients for making Soft Dhokla 

  • Gram flour (besan) 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilli-ginger paste 1 teaspoon
  • Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoon
  • Fruit salt  ( Eno ) 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves for Garnishing
  • Curry leaves 8-10

Dhokla Recipe 

To make your dhokla soft and perfectly, follow given below steps for dhokla recipe.
Step 1 for dhokla recipe : Take gram flour in a bowl and approximately one cup of  water and mix well avoid lumps. Add salt and sugar mix again.
Step 2 for dhokla recipe : Add green chilli-ginger paste. Mix. Heat the steamer. Grease a beaker in which you pour the batter
Step 3 for dhokla recipe : In this mixture add lemon juice, one teaspoon of oil and in last add fruit salt ( Eno ) and then immediately pour batter into the greased beaker and place it in the steamer.
Step 4 for dhokla recipe : Cover with the lid and steam for 15-20 minutes. When a little cool, cut into your desired shape or size and keep in a serving plate or keep a side.
Step 5 for dhokla recipe : Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a small pan for Tadka , Add mustard seeds ,Curry leaves and some  green chillies. When the seeds begin to crackle pour 1 cup of water in it and 1 tablespoon sugar and half tablespoon salt mix welll and pour over the dhoklas.
Step 6 for dhokla recipe : Serve, garnished with chopped coriander leaves or either with chutney.
